Themis Support

Caunce O’Hara work in association with Themis Support who are a post-accident investigation service where advisors thoroughly investigate the claim, compile a report and liaise with your insurer to mitigate the potential liability. Themis have assisted many of our clients in successfully defending claims due to their prompt investigation.

 Examples of Themis Success

• The claimant fell from a window sill and claim to have sustained injury to his right shoulder. Upon notification of the claim Themis were appointed to investigate. The conclusion of the report was that the claimant had indeed fallen whilst carrying out his work, however the information contained in the report indicates no injury was sustained and the claimant continued to carry out his work that week. The client had a history of problems with his shoulder and this incident mealy irritated an already present injury. Furthermore by his own admission the claimant stated he also injured his shoulder lifting turf from his own garden.

             Insurers repudiated the claim and no payment was made to the claimant.  

• The claimant stated they suffered a burn from a tea urn whilst filling with water. Following the incident Themis investigated the incident and compiled a report. The evidence obtained in that report did not support the claimants version of events or the injuries sustained. The claimant was not absent from work at any time following the alleged incident.

             Insurer repudiated claim based on the evidence obtained by Themis and no further action was by claimant.
