Introducing Katherine – Our newest member of our marketing team

Posted on 30th September 2019 by Phil Ainley MCIM

Katherine Ducie Marketing Executive at Caunce O'Hara

It is with great pleasure that we welcome our newest team member who joins our marketing department, Katherine Ducie.

Katherine comes to us with a strong background in journalism, copywriting and content creation and will be taking a lead on our freelancer content (including videography) and our social media channels.

“I have been working in marketing roles since my internships in 2014, which I undertook as part of my placement year during my Journalism degree. I was attracted to Journalism because since the age of six, after studying my way through a Key Comprehension school book, I’d loved writing and found the media fascinating.

Having studied English, Film and Media at A level, it seemed like the perfect balance of each. Since graduating from university, I’ve worked in a variety of content focused marketing roles in the hospitality industry, not-for-profit sector, media industry and energy industry.”

Day-to-day and forward plans:

“On a day to day basis I will be helping to grow awareness of the Caunce O’Hara brand in the freelance community by taking the lead for freelancer-focused content including blogs, vlogs, social media, emails, website promotion, events and marketing campaigns. I’ll also be supporting our internal communications team.”

“Now here’s the bit about me… I love listening to podcasts, usually health related, or books on audible. I’ve always loved reading but it’s hard finding the time these days! That’s why I love audio; you can whizz through books on the move.

I like going to the gym but equally I like chocolate, cake and cocktails. I do spend a lot of my life out of work in gym leggings and love walking. Coming from Cumbria, there’s plenty of scenic walking routes to enjoy. I’m also a shopaholic (at the beginning of the month) and single-handedly keep ASOS in business.

Like most of us, I feel most content when spending time with my large family including 3 adorable nephews and two equally adorable nieces as well as of course my lovely friends.”
